Losing my job due to corporate “downsizing” twice was a shock and disillusionment for me.

I grew up in an age where loyalty to the organization and good work meant job security and upward mobility. This was an unspoken contract employees had with employers. But times changed. The world of work changed. I don’t know what storms you are experiencing in life but I share some comfort verses that mattered to me when I was in the storm. Zephaniah. 3:

¹⁷ The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in His love. He will joy over thee with singing.

Hebrews 12:

¹Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

² Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Joshua 14:
