Five daily habits for success
Five daily habits for success
Jesus loves you so very much and He wants you to run the race of life successfully. He knows there will be hills to climb, curves to maneuver, obstacles to overcome. As your Emmanuel, He wants to run the race of life with you. Jesus documented Bible instructions for your success.
Pray– 1 Thessalonians 5:17Pray without ceasing.
Pray = converse with Jesus
You have 24/7 access to your Creator, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
Imagine! Jesus is available to help you at all times!
What does that access mean to you?
How do you use that access?
Study-2 Timothy 2:15Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Study = application of the mind to acquire knowledge by reading, investigating and reflection
What is your Bible study schedule?
What are some of your favorite Bible passages?
Do you want to be approved by God? Why or why not?
Why would a workman ever be ashamed?
How can you rightly divide the word of truth? Look at the context, compare passages, ask Jesus.
Don’t forsake mercy and truth-Proverbs 3:3Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
Mercy = not giving what is deserved for wrongdoing
Truth =the actual state of the matter
You and I live in a fallen creation. Everyone is born with a sinful, rebellious nature.
When people hurt you is it hard for you to show mercy? Why or why not?
Was there a time someone showed mercy to you?
How can you use the truth in your daily race of life?
While living on earth in a human body, Jesus increased in favor with God and man per Luke 2:52And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
How do you see Jesus increasing in favor with God and man?
Give thanks in all things –Ephesians 5:20Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Thanks =grateful feeling or expression of appreciation and acknowledgement
What has Jesus done for you today?
When is it the most difficult for you to give thanks?
When is it the easiest for you to give thanks?
Trust in the LORD– Proverbs 3:5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Trust = confidence in and reliance on the integrity, strength, ability and surety of someone with expectation and hope
LORD = Jehovah, Yaweh, the I AM
What does it mean to trust with all your heart?
How can you know if you are trusting the LORD or self?
Our focus – Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Our challenge – Dearly Beloved,
Run with your eyes on Jesus alone!
Run in faith that Jesus loves you with an everlasting, unconditional love; has uniquely designed and created only one you; has a good plan for your life; runs with you; and will accomplish His purposes for you and through you!
Run in His strength alone!
Run being yoked to Emmanuel!
Run with your eyes on the prize!
Run with your focus on His mission: to conform you to the image of Jesus Christ!
Run with the desire to finish strong!
Run with the desire to finish with your lamp burning!
Run to obtain your incorruptible crown!
Run with the expectation of being in His physical presence when together you cross your finish line!
Run to His glory alone!
Run and keep on running!
