How Valuable are You?

How valuable are you? Some days we feel great, accomplished, on top of the world. Other days we feel small, unsuccessful, neither important nor valued. We live in a fallen creation, which is no longer perfect and not even good. Sin and death have entered the world. Everyone is born with a sinful, rebellious nature so there is often strife.

Here is what Jesus says about your value

Luke 12:6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

7But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

When Jesus Christ resided on earth a farthing was worth about ¼ cent. So 5 sparrows sold for ½ cent.

How great must God be to know and remember every sparrow?

How many hairs are on your head?

Have you ever tried to count your hairs?

What does this scripture mean to you?

Here is more of what Jesus says about your value

Luke 12:24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?

25And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?

26If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?

27Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

28If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?

29And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.

30For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.

31But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

32Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Do you know your dimensions at birth?

The average baby at birth is 19.13 inches in length and weighs 6.3 pounds.

How do you compare today to the average baby at birth?

Have you ever examined a lily?

Have you thanked God for valuing you and providing for you?

What does it mean to you that God knows your needs?

What does this scripture mean to you?

Paul explained the Kingdom of God in his letter to the Romans

Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

18For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.

Righteousness =2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Peace =Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Joy =Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

What does His good pleasure in giving you the kingdom mean to you?

How can you best serve Jesus Christ with the righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit He gives you?

Our focus – Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Our challenge – Dearly Beloved,

Run with your eyes on Jesus alone!

Run in faith that Jesus loves you, has uniquely designed and created only one you, has a good plan for your life, runs with you and will accomplish His purposes for you and through  you!

Run in His strength alone!

Run with your eyes on the prize!

Run with the desire to finish strong!

Run with the desire to finish with your lamp burning!

Run with the expectation of being in His physical presence when you cross your finish line!

Run to His glory alone!

Run and keep on running!
